Buy a full face helmet

A full face helmet completely encloses your head and chin and offers the most comprehensive protection. It is the first choice for sport riding, touring and motorway journeys.

Modular helmet – the flip-up helmet

On a modular helmet the chin bar flips up – handy when you stop, at the petrol station or if you wear glasses. It is popular with touring riders.

Jet helmet and open face helmet

A jet helmet leaves your face open and is light and airy. It suits a scooter, motor scooter and retro motorcycle – and also works as a scooter helmet for the city.

Buy a motocross or dirt bike helmet

Motocross helmets have a peak and a chin bar that extends well forward, and they are worn with motocross goggles. They are made for motocross and enduro.

How to measure your helmet size

Measure your head circumference about one centimetre above your eyebrows. As a guide: XS 53–54 cm, S 55–56 cm, M 57–58 cm, L 59–60 cm, XL 61–62 cm, XXL 63–64 cm. The fit differs from brand to brand – so always try it on.

ECE 22.06 helmet standard

In Switzerland, wearing a helmet is compulsory when riding a motorcycle. When buying, look for the ECE 22.06 approval label – the current test standard for motorcycle helmets.

Only need a helmet for a few days? Then you can rent a motorcycle helmet from us – CHF 75.– for the first day and CHF 55.– from the second day, and only CHF 10.– for a test ride (15–25 minutes). With every helmet rental – including for the test ride – you buy a balaclava for CHF 25.– for hygiene reasons.

Our motorcycle helmets range from around CHF 149.– to CHF 1’299.– – depending on helmet type, brand and features. Jet helmets and basic full face helmets are at the lower end, carbon full face helmets at the upper end. All prices are non-binding; we are happy to advise you on which helmet suits you and your budget.

When should I replace my motorcycle helmet?

After any fall or hard impact the helmet should be replaced, even if nothing is visible on the outside. Otherwise, follow the manufacturer’s recommendation – we are happy to advise you.

What motorcycle clothing do I need in addition to a helmet?
