The NC750X is Honda’s everyday allrounder: 745 cc, 43 kW, either with a manual gearbox as the NC 750 XA or with a dual clutch transmission as the NC 750 XD Dual Clutch – and as a 35 kW version for the restricted licence category. At our place in Volketswil ZH it is available new and second hand, along with accessories, custom work and servicing – including for the earlier NC700X.
The NC750X runs 745 cc and produces 43 kW. That is deliberately not a headline figure: the twin is built for torque low down rather than for revs. This is exactly what makes it easy to live with – you short shift and rarely need to stir the gearbox. It is ridden on the full category A licence.
There is also a 35 kW version for the restricted category, and a dual clutch option – both are covered in the next section.
We stock the 2025 model year. Details of individual bikes – colour, mileage, equipment and price – are in the vehicle list further down this page. If you would rather not shift at all, our overview of every automatic model has its own page.

The NC750X has 745 cc and produces 43 kW. The restricted version is 35 kW.
Category A. With the 35 kW version you can ride it on the restricted licence as well. We describe the route to a Swiss licence on our motorcycle licence page.
Most recently the 2025 model year. What is available right now is shown in the vehicle list on this page, taken directly from our stock.
NC 750 XA is the version with a manual gearbox, NC 750 XD Dual Clutch the one with dual clutch transmission. The 745 cc engine is identical.
It suits returning riders and anyone who wants a predictable machine. With the 35 kW version it also works on a restricted licence – see our beginner bike page. Riding technique still matters most, which is what the courses section is about.
The NC 750 XD Dual Clutch has a dual clutch transmission: no clutch lever and no gear pedal. It shifts by itself, or by hand at the push of a button if you prefer. Anyone riding in town or in stop-start traffic notices the difference immediately – the left hand is free and hill starts stop being an issue.
This is the most searched aspect of the model: NC750X DCT is looked up far more often than the manual version. We supply both – which one is in stock right now is shown in the vehicle list.
Other Honda models without shifting are on our automatic motorbike page.

The NC 750 XA is the version with a conventional gearbox and clutch lever. It costs less to buy and is slightly lighter. If you enjoy shifting yourself and mostly ride country roads, it is the sensible pick.
Both versions share the same engine with 745 cc and 43 kW. The only difference is the gearbox.
The 35 kW version may be ridden on the restricted category – known as A2 in the EU, as A restricted in Switzerland. It sits alongside our other restricted models and is a common choice for riders building up experience.
After two years without an accident the bike can be converted to full power. We carry out that conversion in our own workshop – see the workshop and servicing section.
DCT stands for dual clutch transmission. The NC 750 XD Dual Clutch has neither a clutch lever nor a gear pedal and shifts by itself.
Yes. Alongside automatic mode you can select gears with a button whenever you want to choose them yourself.
That depends on the individual bike. Valid prices for both versions are listed with the vehicles on this page.
With the 35 kW version, yes. It is a common choice for riders who are still within the restricted period.
Yes, once the period has passed. We carry out the conversion to full power at our workshop in Volketswil ZH.
What you see in the list are our used machines, demonstrators and demo bikes. If nothing is listed, we have none in stock for immediate sale at the moment. But as soon as their demo period ends, as-new machines become available for sale on a rolling basis.
Please get in touch. As-new demonstrator, demo and good second hand machines come in all the time – often as part exchanges, before they are advertised, or once their demo period has ended. Tell us what you are looking for: we will contact you as soon as something suitable arrives and are happy to reserve it for you.
We take your current machine in part exchange. Bring it in or send us photos and details – we will make you an offer and set it against the purchase price.

Anyone using the NC750X to commute or tour upgrades the luggage first. A top box swallows a helmet and wet weather gear and tends to stay on all year; panniers pay off as soon as you are away for several days. We fit the racks and cases here, align them and match the locks to one key for every case.

The standard screen is cut short. If you ride motorway regularly, a taller touring screen makes the biggest single difference – less pressure on chest and helmet, noticeably quieter. We match the screen to your height, because one that is too tall creates turbulence at helmet level.

Crash bars protect the fairing and engine when the bike tips over at standstill – which happens in car parks far more often than on the road. An engine guard makes sense if you also ride gravel tracks. We fit both using the original mounting points, without drilling into the frame.

A different end can changes the sound and the weight. We only fit systems with valid Swiss approval – anything else causes trouble at the next inspection. Which system is homologated for your bike is something we clarify before ordering.
Honda does not list an end can for the NC750X in its original accessory range – unlike the Africa Twin, for example. We therefore check aftermarket systems for Swiss approval on your machine and tell you before ordering what can be homologated.
If you ride the NC750X through the colder half of the year, fit heated grips. They are wired in permanently and switched with the ignition so the battery does not suffer at standstill. Combined with hand guards they extend the season noticeably.

The seat decides how far you can ride in one go. A lower version gets shorter riders closer to the ground; a comfort seat with different foam makes long stages bearable. We will show you the options in person – sitting on them tells you more than any description.

Several sizes are available with a matching rack. Which one makes sense depends on whether you want to stow one helmet or two – we will show you the options on the bike.
Yes, everything is fitted and set up here in Volketswil ZH. If you buy a bike from us, the accessories go on before handover.
Only with valid approval for your bike. We fit homologated systems exclusively and check this before ordering.
If you ride motorway regularly, yes – it takes out pressure and noise. The height should match your build, otherwise it turbulates at helmet level.
In many cases yes – including for the earlier NC700X. Give us the year and frame number and we will check the fit.
We service the NC750X in our own workshop: scheduled servicing, oil changes, brakes, tyres, chain and sprockets, and preparation for the Swiss roadworthiness test. We keep the service book up to date, which protects the value when you come to sell.
Running costs also cover what comes up between appointments – a tyre before a tour, a battery after the winter, converting the 35 kW version to full power. Give us a call; we can usually find a slot at short notice.
Everything about servicing, repairs and running costs is on our motorcycle service page.

That depends on the scope – minor service, major service or additional work. We quote beforehand; details on our motorcycle service page.
Yes. We check the bike over in advance and put right anything that would be flagged.
Yes, regardless of where you bought the machine.
For the NC range usually yes, including the NC700X. Give us the frame number and we will check availability.
Yes, once the restricted period has ended. We convert the bike and register the change.
The NC700X was the first generation of this range. It follows the same idea as today’s NC750X: a twin with torque low down, built for everyday use rather than for headline figures. Many are still running, often with high mileage – that is what they were made for.
We continue to service the NC700X and source parts for as long as they remain available. Give us the year and frame number and we will check what can be had.
If you are moving up from an NC700X: the larger engine brings 745 cc instead of 700, and there is the dual clutch option. We will take your current bike in part exchange.

The current NC750X has 745 cc and produces 43 kW. The NC700X was the smaller first generation of the same range.
Yes. Servicing, repairs and test preparation are available for the older range too.
Much of it is. With the year and frame number we can check what is in supply.
Some do. Racks and screens differ between model years – we check the fit before you order anything.
Yes. We value the bike and set the amount against the price of the new one.
Commuting. This is where the NC750X is at its best: narrow enough to filter, unhurried off the mark, economical. With dual clutch there is no constant shifting in stop-start traffic – on the run from Volketswil into Zurich you notice that every morning.
Weekend touring. With panniers and a taller screen it handles several days away without complaint. Fuel consumption stays low, which means longer stretches between stops on a long day.
Alpine passes. Torque low down suits tight hairpins: you stay in the same gear instead of changing constantly. Riders carrying a pillion and luggage appreciate exactly that.
Getting back into riding. After a few years off, a predictable machine is the right call. The 35 kW version also opens it up to riders on a restricted licence – see our beginner bike page.

Yes, that is what it was designed around: economical, narrow, with torque low down. With dual clutch there is no shifting in stop-start traffic.
Yes. With a pannier set, a taller screen and the right seat it works for multi-day trips two up.
It has a reputation for being predictable and forgiving. After a long break you get back into it quickly – a refresher course helps as well.
Farm tracks and unsealed roads are no problem. For genuine off-road an adventure bike such as the Honda Transalp is the better tool.
The engine was built around economy – that is the founding idea of the range. The actual figure depends on how and where you ride.
Against the Honda Transalp: that one is the adventure bike with longer suspension travel and more power – the better choice if you regularly ride gravel and cross passes. The NC750X is the calmer, more economical machine for everyday road use.
Against the CB 650 R: that is the naked bike with a four cylinder engine and far more appetite for revs. If you want the noise and the top end, go there. If you want torque low down and low running costs, stay with the NC750X.
Against a scooter: a scooter is handier in town. As soon as motorway or a pillion enters the picture the NC750X is clearly ahead – and with dual clutch it stays just as easy in traffic.
Every model with automatic transmission is compared on our automatic motorbike page.

The NC750X for everyday road use, the Transalp for gravel and long trips. Both are here to try.
The NC range was designed with exactly that in mind. The twin works at low revs, which shows in fuel use.
If you ride mostly in town or in traffic, yes. On open roads the difference is smaller – best is to ride both.
Yes. Make an appointment and we will have the bikes ready. Test rides carry a contribution towards costs, credited against a purchase.
Every model with a 35 kW version, the NC750X among them. Our beginner bike page has the overview.
What decides a hairy moment is rarely the engine: braking on a wet surface, swerving, where you look. More speed and more lean never come from courage or risk but from coordination and timing – ride faster than your technique allows and you will come off sooner or later.
Training happens away from the road: off-road the surface is uneven, the speed lower and the window of reaction wider – a light bike forgives more. Afterwards you carry the technique across to your own machine.
Courses and dates at the MX-Academy: small groups with individual analysis, led by Chris Möckli, twice European champion, supported by Honda Switzerland.
If you still need the licence itself, the process is set out on our motorcycle licence page.

At the MX-Academy, where you will find all courses and current dates.
No. Training is on bikes provided, off-road – you then transfer the technique to your own machine.
Especially then. After a long break the reflexes are gone – a course brings them back faster than simply piling on miles.
The steps from learner permit to test are described on our motorcycle licence page.
In the 35 kW version yes, on a restricted licence. Riding technique still decides – which is what the course is for.
We are a Honda Dream Dealer in Volketswil ZH, a few minutes from Zurich. Available bikes are in the list on this page – with colour, mileage, equipment and price, straight from our stock.
Test ride. We will have the model you want ready, and both gearbox versions one after the other if you like. We charge a contribution towards costs, which we credit against the purchase.
Part exchange. We take your current motorbike in part exchange – an NC700X or any other make. Details on our trade-in page.
Handover. Accessories are fitted before you collect the bike, and the machine leaves the workshop checked and set up. After that we remain your point of contact for servicing and maintenance.
