An enduro bike is built for open terrain: forest tracks, roots, steep climbs and long stages away from the beaten path. Compared with a pure motocrosser, an enduro has a larger tank, a softer suspension setup, a wider gear range and, depending on the version, lights and road registration.
RedMoto turns the Honda CRF range into enduro bikes: the CRF250R and CRF450R become the CRF250RX to CRF450RX – with enduro suspension, kickstart or e-start, a larger tank and the equipment that counts off road.

RedMoto enduro models – CRF250RX to CRF450RX
RedMoto is the Italian specialist that turns the Honda CRF race platform into an enduro bike built for the terrain. The suffix changes from R to RX – the motocrosser becomes an enduro.
CRF250RX enduro – the easy way in
The CRF250RX is easy to control and forgiving in tight terrain. If you are moving from motocross to enduro, or riding a full day in the woods for the first time, it is the obvious choice.
CRF300RX and CRF400RX enduro – the middle class
More torque from low revs without the machine becoming unwieldy. These two cover the range where most enduro riders are out – strong enough for steep climbs, calm enough for long stages.
CRF450RX enduro and Rally – hard enduro and long distance
The CRF450RX is the machine for experienced riders and hard enduro. The Rally version comes with a larger tank, roadbook preparation and wind protection – built for whole days in the terrain rather than single laps.
The additional name Enduro Special stands for the higher-spec version: different suspension components, more protection for engine and hands, higher-grade add-on parts.

Learn to ride enduro - MX Academy
An enduro bike is quickly bought - handling it safely comes from practice. The MX Academy runs enduro training and hard enduro training on its own terrain in Schlatt TG, around 30 minutes from Zurich.
Riders are grouped by ability level, so that everyone is challenged and nobody is out of their depth. The site offers a wide range of exercises and enduro sections.

If you have no off-road experience at all, a motocross beginner course is the better way in - a machine is provided there.

Enduro bike FAQ - questions we are asked most
What is the difference between enduro and motocross?
Motocross means a closed circuit with jumps, enduro means open terrain over long stages. An enduro bike has a bigger tank, softer suspension, a wider spread of gear ratios and often lights.
What does RX stand for on the RedMoto models?
RX marks the enduro version of the Honda CRF range. The CRF450R built for motocross becomes the CRF450RX with enduro suspension, a larger tank and off-road equipment.
What is an Enduro Special?
The Enduro Special is the higher specified version: different suspension components, more protection for the engine and hands, and better quality add-on parts.
Is an enduro bike road legal?
It depends on the model and the version. Competition machines are not, others can be registered. Whether the enduro motorbike you want can be registered is something we clarify with you before you buy.
Which enduro suits a beginner?
The CRF250RX is easy to handle and forgiving. If you want more torque for steep sections without the machine becoming unwieldy, the CRF300RX or CRF400RX is a good choice.
What is hard enduro?
Hard enduro means extremely difficult terrain with rocks, steep sections and obstacles, where technique matters more than speed. The CRF450RX is the machine built for it.
Are enduro motorcycles available new and used?
Yes. New RedMoto machines are available from stock, and used enduro bikes come in regularly as second hand machines. The current stock is shown in the vehicle list on this page.

Is the Honda Africa Twin an enduro?
The CRF1100L Africa Twin is an adventure enduro: built for long distances with an off-road share, road legal and with full warranty. For pure off-road use the RedMoto CRFRX models are the right choice - the Africa Twin is the adventure variant for tarmac and gravel.
What is the difference between the Transalp and the Africa Twin?
Both are road-legal Honda adventure enduro bikes. The XL750 Transalp is the middle size, the CRF1100L Africa Twin the large one. Both are listed with photo and price in the sections on this page.
