The Hornet is Honda’s naked bike range: the CB500 Hornet with 471 cc and 35 kW, the CB750 Hornet with 755 cc and 67.5 kW, and the CB1000 Hornet with 1,000 cc and 111.6 kW. All three are available in the Zurich area, along with the CB1000F and the CB1000GT – new and used, together with accessories, custom work and servicing, including the older Hornet generations.
The Hornet covers three classes without changing character: upright, slim, unfaired. The CB500 Hornet produces 35 kW from 471 cc – exactly the limit of the Swiss category A restricted licence, known as A2 in the EU, with no restrictor needed. The CB750 Hornet delivers 67.5 kW from 755 cc. The CB1000 Hornet tops the range with 111.6 kW from 1,000 cc.
All three are ridden on a category A licence, the CB500 Hornet also on A restricted. The CB750 and the CB500 are additionally offered with E-Clutch – shifting without a clutch lever.
Details of individual machines – colour, mileage, equipment – are shown in each listing in the stock list further down this page.

CB500 Hornet – 471 cc, 35 kW. The way into the range: A-restricted legal out of the box and light enough for your first miles. Also available with E-Clutch.
CB750 Hornet – 755 cc, 67.5 kW. The most requested model of the family: strong enough for open roads, compact enough for town. E-Clutch is offered here too.
CB1000 Hornet – 1,000 cc, 111.6 kW, additionally in SP trim. If you are moving off a supersport machine and want the upright riding position without giving up performance, this is the one.
Which models and colours are in stock right now is shown in the list further down – it changes constantly.
The CB1000GT is not a naked bike but a sporty tourer based on the CB1000 Hornet. Anyone looking at the CB1000GT compares it with the CB1000 Hornet almost every time – which is why it sits here rather than on a page of its own.
The engine is essentially the same: the liquid-cooled 1,000 cc inline four that originally came from the 2017 Fireblade. In the CB1000GT it makes 110 kW (150 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 102 Nm at 8,750 rpm, tuned for a little more push in the midrange.

The CB1000GT is a sporty tourer based on the CB1000 Hornet. Engine and basic structure come from the Hornet, but the CB1000GT adds adaptive Showa EERA suspension, panniers from the factory, cruise control, a quickshifter, heated grips, an adjustable screen and a 5-inch TFT with Honda RoadSync. It makes 110 kW (150 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 102 Nm at 8,750 rpm.

The CB500 is lighter and A-restricted legal, the CB750 has far more in reserve. Riders who have just passed take the 500; those on a full licence usually take the 750.
The CB1000 has nearly twice the output at 111.6 kW. For a lot of motorway and brisk riding, take the 1000; for everyday use and back roads the 750 is more than enough.
The CB750 Hornet is the one we hold in stock most often – it sits exactly where most riders ride.
Recent stock has included red, black, white and yellow. The current choice is shown in the machine list on this page.
Yes, and it is the quickest way to decide. Let us know in advance and we will have the machines you want ready.
The CB650R runs an inline four; the Hornet models are twins with stronger drive from low revs. It is a question of character rather than performance.

What you see in the list are our used machines, demonstrators and demo bikes. If nothing is listed, we have none in stock for immediate sale at the moment. But as soon as their demo period ends, as-new machines become available for sale on a rolling basis.
Please get in touch. As-new demonstrator, demo and good second hand machines come in all the time – often as part exchanges, before they are advertised, or once their demo period has ended. Tell us what you are looking for: we will contact you as soon as something suitable arrives and are happy to reserve it for you.
We take your current machine in part exchange. Bring it in or send us photos and details – we will make you an offer and set it against the purchase price.

As a Honda Dream Dealer we service every Hornet model with genuine parts and Honda diagnostics – chain, brakes, tyres, roadworthiness preparation and winter storage. We look after the E-Clutch models in full.
Custom work does not affect registration or warranty as long as the parts are approved. That is exactly what we watch when selecting them – and we document the work.
From the genuine range: screens, pannier mounts and luggage racks, tank bags, crash protectors, heated grips, quickshifters and alternative seats, among others. We order and fit them.
Yes. Seat, bar position, wind protection, luggage, exhaust – tell us how you ride and we will suggest what makes sense for it.
No, as long as approved parts are fitted properly. We select on exactly that basis and document the work.
Yes – through a lower or taller seat and through the suspension. The best start is to sit on the machine here, then we can see what is needed.
Yes. As a Honda Dream Dealer we look after every Honda, wherever it was bought.
Yes. We inspect the machine, put right anything that would be flagged and, if you wish, present it for the test ourselves.
The CB600F Hornet has carried the Hornet name for many years, and a great number are still on the road – often with high mileage and in good order. These are exactly the bikes we like to see in the workshop.
We take care of the servicing, source spare and wear parts and prepare the machine for its roadworthiness test. Tell us the year, the mileage and what is due, and we order the parts in advance.
And if the upkeep ever turns into the wish for a change – the current CB750 Hornet is the direct successor in spirit to the CB600F: same idea, more power, modern electronics.
The CB900F Hornet is solidly built, easy to work on and worth the effort. We look after what comes up over the years: brakes and lines, chain and sprockets, fork and shock, carburettor or injection, electrics and battery.
If you ride a CB900F and are looking for a workshop that takes it seriously instead of waving it away, get in touch. As a Honda Dream Dealer we also reach parts that have become difficult to find elsewhere.
The Hornet did not start with the current range. The CB600F Hornet and the CB900F Hornet have carried the name for many years, and a great number are still on the road – often with high mileage and in good order.
These are exactly the bikes we like to see in the workshop. They are solidly built, straightforward to maintain and worth the effort. We handle the servicing, source replacement and wear parts, prepare the machine for its roadworthiness test and deal with what accumulates over the years: brakes and lines, chain and sprockets, forks and shock, carburettor or injection, electrics and battery.

And if that upkeep eventually turns into the wish for something newer – the current CB750 Hornet is the direct successor in spirit to the CB600F: the same idea, more power, modern electronics.
Yes, gladly. We have these machines in the workshop regularly – servicing, wear parts, roadworthiness preparation.
Wear parts and many replacement parts, yes. Give us the year and the frame number and we will confirm availability before the machine comes in.
Usually yes – the CB600F and CB900F were built to last. We look at the machine and tell you honestly what is worth doing and what is not.
In concept, the current CB750 Hornet with 755 cc and 67.5 kW: the same unfaired, upright naked bike, with more power and modern electronics.
Yes. We appraise it here and credit it against a new Hornet.
Only when one comes in – they have become rare. Register your interest and we will contact you as soon as one is available.
The E-Clutch operates the clutch electronically. You still change gear yourself with your foot, but pulling away, stopping and every gear change work without touching the clutch lever. The lever stays fitted – you can clutch by hand at any time, with nothing to switch over.
We offer the E-Clutch on the CB750 Hornet and the CB500 Hornet. In town with a lot of traffic lights it takes noticeable work off you, and the same goes for stop-start traffic. On the open road you mostly notice it in how smooth a shift becomes.
It is not the same as DCT, the dual clutch transmission: DCT changes the gears for you, the E-Clutch only takes over the clutch. If you enjoy shifting yourself, the E-Clutch is the better fit.
The fastest way to feel the difference is a test ride – we will put a Hornet with and one without E-Clutch side by side for you.

An electronically operated clutch. You still shift with your foot, but need no clutch lever for pulling away, stopping or changing gear.
The CB750 Hornet and the CB500 Hornet. Which versions are in stock is shown in the machine list on this page.
Yes, at any time. The clutch lever stays fitted and works normally – there is no mode to switch.
DCT changes the gears automatically, the E-Clutch only the clutch. With the E-Clutch you still choose the gear yourself.
Nothing more involved than a normal clutch. At a service we additionally check the software version and the calibration.
Riders who spend a lot of time in town or in stop-start traffic benefit most. Try it – we will have both versions ready to compare.
The Hornet is built without fairing, cut slim and ridden upright – exactly what dense traffic asks for. For the daily run into Zurich or through the Glatt valley the CB500 Hornet is the obvious choice, and more relaxed still with E-Clutch.
Add a pannier mount and a tail pack from the accessory range and it becomes a full everyday machine.
On the twisting roads of the Zurich Oberland, the Toggenburg or over the pre-alpine passes the CB750 Hornet plays to its strengths: enough power to press on, compact enough for tight hairpins. With a touring screen longer stages stay comfortable too.
If you regularly cover long distances, the CB1000 Hornet with 111.6 kW is the one. Wind protection from the accessory range makes the difference on the motorway – without it every naked bike stays hard work.
At 35 kW the CB500 Hornet fits the Swiss category A restricted without a restrictor. It is light, easy to control and forgiving of beginner mistakes – a sensible first bike you will not need to swap after a year.
Alongside it we run riding courses, and the route to the licence is set out on our learner permit page.
Yes, that is what it was built for: slim, upright, easy to place. With a pannier mount and tail pack it becomes a proper commuter.
On day rides it is good, particularly the CB750. For longer stages we recommend a touring screen and a luggage solution from the accessory range.
The CB500 Hornet is – 35 kW, light and easy to control, legal on A restricted straight away.
Like any naked bike without wind protection, tiring over distance. A screen from the accessory range changes that considerably, and the CB1000 has the larger reserves.
The CB500 is the most accessible. If the seat height does not suit, lower seats are available – sit on the machine here and we will see straight away.
Yes, all three models are approved for a passenger. For longer two-up rides the CB750 and the CB1000 are the more comfortable choice.
Hornet or CB650R? The CB650R runs an inline four and revs higher; the CB750 Hornet is a twin with stronger drive from low down. Both are naked bikes of the same class – this is a question of character, not performance.
Hornet or an adventure bike? If you carry a lot of luggage and ride long stages, a faired machine serves you better. If your riding is mainly everyday journeys and back roads, take the Hornet.
Hornet or a Gold Wing? Two entirely different motorbikes: the Gold Wing as a full tourer for long journeys two-up, the Hornet as a light, unfaired everyday machine.
Hornet or a PCX scooter? For pure city journeys the scooter is more practical. As soon as open roads and corners come into it, the Hornet is the right vehicle.
The best way to decide is here in person: our models stand side by side in Volketswil and we go through the differences with you. What else is in stock is shown in the list on this page.
The CB650R for anyone who likes the four-cylinder character; the CB750 Hornet for strong pull from low revs.
Yes – unfaired, upright riding position, wide bars. That is what the name has stood for since the first generations.
Yes. Tell us in advance which ones you would like to see and they will be ready when you visit.
That is what the Gold Wing was built for. The Hornet is the lighter machine for everyday use and day rides.
The full choice is shown in our showroom in Volketswil.
That is exactly what we are here for. Tell us how and where you ride – the right machine usually follows from that on its own.
The Hornet is a machine for winding back roads – and that is exactly where riding technique decides how composed you feel. More lean angle and more speed never come from more courage or more risk, but from better coordination, clean timing and precise vision. Anyone riding faster than their technique allows will come off sooner or later.
The best place to train that is away from public roads. Off road the surface is uneven and loose and speeds are lower – which widens the time window for every input and lets you work near the limit with far less danger than on tarmac. A light, agile off-road machine forgives far more mistakes than a heavy road bike. Once the technique is there, you carry it across to your own Hornet.
The matching course is the motorcycle riding safety course at the MX-Academy; the full programme is listed under school and offers.
Participants are split into groups and analysed individually. The school is run by Chris Möckli, a two-time European champion; the MX-Academy is supported by Honda Switzerland and has the Honda off-road models on site. You are welcome to bring your own machine.

The machines available right now, with prices, are in the stock list on this page – it comes straight from our own inventory and is always current. Once you have picked a model, book a test ride; it is available for a contribution towards costs, which is credited against a purchase.
We take your current machine in part exchange. At handover the Hornet is registered, checked and, if you wish, already fitted with the accessories you want – screen, panniers and heated grips go on beforehand.
After that we stay responsible: servicing, parts, tyres, roadworthiness tests and winter storage all happen in our own workshop.
