CB500 Hornet – 471 cc, 35 kW. The way into the range: A-restricted legal out of the box and light enough for your first miles. Also available with E-Clutch.

Honda CB750 Hornet – 755 cc, 67.5 kW

CB750 Hornet – 755 cc, 67.5 kW. The most requested model of the family: strong enough for open roads, compact enough for town. E-Clutch is offered here too.

Honda CB1000 Hornet and SP – 1,000 cc, 111.6 kW

CB1000 Hornet – 1,000 cc, 111.6 kW, additionally in SP trim. If you are moving off a supersport machine and want the upright riding position without giving up performance, this is the one.

Honda CB1000GT – the tourer built on the Hornet

Same four-cylinder, different job

The CB1000GT is not a naked bike but a sporty tourer based on the CB1000 Hornet. Anyone looking at the CB1000GT compares it with the CB1000 Hornet almost every time – which is why it sits here rather than on a page of its own.

The engine is essentially the same: the liquid-cooled 1,000 cc inline four that originally came from the 2017 Fireblade. In the CB1000GT it makes 110 kW (150 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 102 Nm at 8,750 rpm, tuned for a little more push in the midrange.

Difference between CB1000 Hornet and CB1000GT

The figures marked – are listed on the data sheet of each machine in the list on this page. We stock the CB1000GT as a new bike; what is available right now is shown in the vehicle list further down. We are happy to reserve one for a test ride.

We stock the genuine Honda accessory range for the CB500, CB750 and CB1000 Hornet and fit it too. The most requested parts one by one.

Wind protection for the motorway

A naked bike without a screen gets tiring over distance. A screen takes pressure off chest and helmet without spoiling the line of the Hornet.

The right height depends on your build – too tall buffets the air. We try it on the machine before you buy.

With pannier mounts and a luggage rack the Hornet becomes a commuter. A tank bag and tail pack from the genuine range go with them.

Protection when it goes over

On an unfaired machine a tip-over while stationary quickly hits the tank and engine cover. Crash pads limit the damage to a scratch.

They are quickly fitted and cost a fraction of what tank damage runs to.

Comfort and riding pleasure

The quickshifter allows gear changes without the clutch. On the E-Clutch versions that makes a particularly relaxed combination.

Heated grips extend the season by weeks. We wire them permanently into the electrics.

A different exhaust system changes sound and weight. We only fit systems with valid Swiss type approval.

For the CB1000 Hornet and the SP version Honda offers ready-made accessory packs as well as individual design and aluminium parts. The packs can be combined with each other; the contents are listed in the accessory PDF below.

The CB750 Hornet has the widest accessory range of the family: two sport packs, two style packs, four design packs and a comfort pack, plus aluminium parts, design stickers, luggage and an alarm system (2026 Honda brochure).

Every part is genuine Honda accessory and does not affect road registration. Crash pads, side bags, screen and exhaust are listed in the sections above.

Honda CB500 Hornet accessories

Packs, top box and accessories for the CB500 Hornet

For the CB500 Hornet – the model for the A restricted category – there are two style packs (red, yellow), comfort and travel packs, a 35-litre top box, wheel stripes, screen, heated grips, centre stand and a 12V socket (2026 Honda brochure).

The travel pack turns the entry-level machine into a touring-capable motorbike. Screen, heated grips, centre stand and bags are listed in the sections above.

Honda Dream Dealer in Volketswil

As a Honda Dream Dealer we service every Hornet model with genuine parts and Honda diagnostics – chain, brakes, tyres, roadworthiness preparation and winter storage. We look after the E-Clutch models in full.

Custom work does not affect registration or warranty as long as the parts are approved. That is exactly what we watch when selecting them – and we document the work.

Honda CB600F Hornet – servicing, parts and upkeep

The classic 600 Hornet in the workshop

The CB600F Hornet has carried the Hornet name for many years, and a great number are still on the road – often with high mileage and in good order. These are exactly the bikes we like to see in the workshop.

We take care of the servicing, source spare and wear parts and prepare the machine for its roadworthiness test. Tell us the year, the mileage and what is due, and we order the parts in advance.

And if the upkeep ever turns into the wish for a change – the current CB750 Hornet is the direct successor in spirit to the CB600F: same idea, more power, modern electronics.

The big classic Hornet

The CB900F Hornet is solidly built, easy to work on and worth the effort. We look after what comes up over the years: brakes and lines, chain and sprockets, fork and shock, carburettor or injection, electrics and battery.

If you ride a CB900F and are looking for a workshop that takes it seriously instead of waving it away, get in touch. As a Honda Dream Dealer we also reach parts that have become difficult to find elsewhere.

Hornet or another Honda model?

The alternatives from our range that come up most

Hornet or CB650R? The CB650R runs an inline four and revs higher; the CB750 Hornet is a twin with stronger drive from low down. Both are naked bikes of the same class – this is a question of character, not performance.

Hornet or an adventure bike? If you carry a lot of luggage and ride long stages, a faired machine serves you better. If your riding is mainly everyday journeys and back roads, take the Hornet.

Hornet or a Gold Wing? Two entirely different motorbikes: the Gold Wing as a full tourer for long journeys two-up, the Hornet as a light, unfaired everyday machine.

Hornet or a PCX scooter? For pure city journeys the scooter is more practical. As soon as open roads and corners come into it, the Hornet is the right vehicle.
