The XL750 Transalp is Honda’s middleweight adventure bike: 755 cc, 68 kW, optionally with E-Clutch – and as a 35 kW version for the Swiss category A restricted. We stock it in several colour variants in Volketswil near Zurich, together with accessories, custom work and servicing – including the classic XL600V, XL650V and XL700V.
The XL750 Transalp runs 755 cc and produces 68 kW. That places it exactly where an adventure bike belongs: strong enough for motorway work with luggage, light enough to stay manageable on gravel. It is ridden on a full category A licence.
There is also a 35 kW version for the Swiss category A restricted, and an E-Clutch option – both covered in the next section.
We stock the 2025 and 2026 model years and several colour variants, among them Tricolor, Swiss Peaks and Black. Details of individual machines are shown in the stock list further down this page.

The XL750 Transalp has 755 cc and produces 68 kW. The restricted version delivers 35 kW.
A full category A. With the 35 kW version you can ride it on A restricted. The route to the licence is set out on our Swiss motorcycle licence page.
Recently the 2025 and 2026 model years. What is available right now is shown in the stock list on this page.
Recent stock has included Tricolor, Swiss Peaks and Black. The current choice is shown in the list.
It is built as an adventure bike and copes well on gravel and forest tracks. Real off-road work comes down to riding technique – we run courses for that, see below.
Prices are shown with every machine in the list on this page – they come straight from our own inventory and are therefore always current.
The E-Clutch operates the clutch electronically. You still change gear yourself with your foot, but pulling away, stopping and every gear change work without touching the clutch lever. The lever stays fitted – clutch by hand whenever you like, with nothing to switch over.
In stop-start traffic and on technical sections it takes noticeable work off you. The E-Clutch version is the one we hold in stock most often.
Not to be confused with DCT: the dual clutch transmission changes gears for you, the E-Clutch only takes over the clutch. If you enjoy shifting yourself, the E-Clutch is the better fit.
The Transalp is available as a 35 kW version for the Swiss category A restricted. That means the same machine before the unrestricted licence – and you keep it once the licence opens up. More machines in this class are listed under 35 kW.

An electronically operated clutch. You still shift with your foot, but need no clutch lever for pulling away, stopping or changing gear.
We stock it with E-Clutch. That is not the same as DCT: the E-Clutch only takes over the clutch, you still choose the gears yourself.
Yes, with the 35 kW version. It is listed in our 35 kW stock and is the same machine with adjusted output.
Ask us about it – we tell you what is possible for your machine and what it costs before you buy.
Yes, at any time. The lever stays fitted and works normally – there is no mode to switch.
Nothing more involved than a normal clutch. At a service we additionally check the software version and calibration.

What you see in the list are our used machines, demonstrators and demo bikes. If nothing is listed, we have none in stock for immediate sale at the moment. But as soon as their demo period ends, as-new machines become available for sale on a rolling basis.
Please get in touch. As-new demonstrator, demo and good second hand machines come in all the time – often as part exchanges, before they are advertised, or once their demo period has ended. Tell us what you are looking for: we will contact you as soon as something suitable arrives and are happy to reserve it for you.
We take your current machine in part exchange. Bring it in or send us photos and details – we will make you an offer and set it against the purchase price.

A machine from our demonstrator fleet: little used, technically as new, usually with the balance of the warranty – and cheaper than a new bike.
A complete service record, chain and sprockets, brakes, tyre age, forks and shock – and on the E-Clutch version the current software status.
Yes, including the older XL600V, XL650V and XL700V. We appraise the machine here and credit it against the purchase.
Yes, for a contribution towards costs which is credited against a purchase. Please book in advance so the machine you want is ready.
That depends on the age and mileage of the individual bike. Demonstrators often still carry the factory warranty – we tell you exactly what applies.
We stock the genuine Honda accessory range for the XL750 Transalp and fit it too. The most requested parts one by one – tell us how you ride and we will tell you what is worth having and what we would advise against.

The top box is the most bought accessory for the Transalp – helmet and rain gear disappear into it without strapping anything down. For longer tours side panniers follow, and together with the matching luggage rack they form a system where every part fits and the payload adds up.
We fit rack and cases properly, check the permitted payload and key them alike. Ask for the complete package – bought piece by piece it almost always costs more.

No other part changes the ride as much as a taller screen. On the motorway it takes pressure off chest and helmet, in winter the cold as well. The right height depends on your build – too tall is as unpleasant as too low, because the air then buffets instead of flowing past.
So we sit you on the machine before you buy and decide together. A windshield is quickly fitted and can be swapped later.

Anyone taking the Transalp onto gravel should budget for crash bars and a sump guard. A tip-over while stationary happens faster than you think – with bars it stays a scratch, without them it gets expensive. The guard keeps stone chips away from the engine case.
Hand guards go well with them: they protect the levers off road and keep the wind off your hands on the road.

A different exhaust changes the sound and the weight of the Transalp. We only fit systems with valid Swiss type approval – anything else lands you in trouble at the next roadside check and costs you the registration.
Which system suits your machine and what it costs, we tell you beforehand. We handle the paperwork with it.
Honda does not list an end can for the Transalp XL750 in its original range – unlike the Africa Twin, which has the SC-Project. We therefore check aftermarket systems for Swiss type approval on your machine and tell you the price and the paperwork involved before ordering.

Heated grips extend the season by weeks – the cheapest accessory with the greatest everyday benefit. We wire them permanently into the electrics, not with a clamp.
With the seat it comes down to two things: seat height and comfort over distance. Taller and lower versions exist – if you cannot get your feet down securely, that is how we solve it. Sit on the machine here and we will see straight away.

For custom work we start from how you ride: commuters need a top box and heated grips; travellers panniers, a tall screen and crash bars; anyone on gravel a sump guard and hand guards. We tell you up front what it costs and what it achieves.
Custom work does not affect registration or warranty as long as the parts are approved. That is exactly what we watch when selecting them – and we document the work.

From the genuine range there is a top box, side panniers and the matching rack as one coordinated system. We fit it and check the permitted payload.
That depends on your build. Too tall buffets the air and gets louder than too low – so we try it on the machine before you buy.
As soon as you ride gravel or manoeuvre the machine often: yes. A tip-over while stationary costs many times their price without them.
Only with valid Swiss type approval. We fit those systems exclusively and handle the paperwork.
Yes – through a different seat and through the suspension. Sit on the machine here and we will see what is needed.
No, as long as approved parts are fitted properly. We select on exactly that basis and document the work.
As a Honda Dream Dealer we service the XL750 Transalp using genuine parts and Honda diagnostic equipment – from scheduled servicing through oil changes, tyres, brakes and chain to roadworthiness test preparation and winter storage.
We look after the E-Clutch version in full, including software status and calibration, which we check at every service.
Book by phone or through the contact form. Tell us the model, year and mileage and we can prepare the parts in advance.
Chain and sprockets, brake and clutch parts, air and oil filters, spark plugs, bearings and seals – the common spare parts are in stock or here within a few days.
With tyres your use decides: mostly tarmac calls for a touring tyre, regular gravel for a coarser pattern. We fit, balance and dispose of the old ones.
Yes. As a Honda Dream Dealer we look after every Honda, wherever it was bought.
That follows mileage and time. Tell us where you stand and we will name the next due date and what it covers.
Yes. We inspect the machine, put right anything that would be flagged and, if you wish, present it for the test.
It depends how much gravel you ride. Mostly tarmac: touring tyre. Regular unmade roads: a coarser pattern. We advise by your use.
The common wear parts are in stock, everything else usually within a few days. Let us know in advance and it will be ready.
Yes. We store the machine, look after it through the winter and hand it back ready to ride in spring.
The Transalp did not start with the XL750. The XL600V, the XL650V and the XL700V have carried the name for decades, and many are still on the road – often with high mileage and in remarkably good order.
These are exactly the machines we like to see in the workshop. They are solidly built, straightforward to maintain and worth the effort. We handle servicing, source replacement and wear parts, prepare the bike for its roadworthiness test and deal with what accumulates over the years: brakes and lines, chain and sprockets, forks and shock, carburettor or injection, cooling system, electrics and battery.
If you ride an XL600V, XL650V or XL700V and are looking for a workshop that takes it seriously rather than waving it away, get in touch. Give us the year, the mileage and what is due, and we can order the parts in advance.
And if that upkeep eventually turns into the wish for something newer – the XL750 Transalp is the direct successor in the same spirit: the same idea, more power, modern electronics.
Yes, gladly. We have these machines in the workshop regularly – servicing, wear parts, roadworthiness preparation.
Wear parts and many replacement parts, yes. Give us the year and frame number and we will confirm availability before the machine comes in.
Usually yes – the old Transalp models were built to last. We look at the machine and tell you honestly what is worth doing.
The current XL750 Transalp with 755 cc and 68 kW: the same adventure bike idea with more power and modern electronics.
Yes. We appraise it here and credit it against an XL750.
Only when one comes in – they have become rare. Register your interest and we will contact you as soon as one is available.
The Transalp is built for long stages: an upright riding position, good wind protection with the right screen, enough power for motorway work with luggage. On the alpine passes it plays to its strengths – light enough for tight hairpins, strong enough for the climb two-up.
With a pannier system and a tall screen it becomes a full touring machine.
On gravel and forest tracks the Transalp copes well. With a sump guard, crash bars and coarser tyres the range widens noticeably. For real off-road work technique is what counts – more on that below.
The high riding position gives a clear view in traffic, the steering lock helps when manoeuvring. With a top box and heated grips the Transalp is a usable everyday machine – and with the E-Clutch particularly relaxed in stop-start traffic.
Riders who have just passed take the 35 kW version and keep the same machine once the category opens up. That saves changing bikes after two years. More machines in this class are under 35 kW.
Yes, that is what it was built for. With a pannier system and a taller screen it becomes a full touring machine.
Yes. Watch the permitted payload once panniers and luggage come into it – we work that out with you.
Very much so – the high seat gives a clear view, and with a top box and heated grips it works day to day. With E-Clutch city traffic is easier still.
Seat height can be adjusted through the seat and the suspension. Sit on it here and we will see straight away what is needed.
Gravel and unmade roads without trouble. With a sump guard, crash bars and coarser tyres more is possible – technique remains decisive.
With the 35 kW version yes – and you keep the same machine once the licence opens up.
Transalp or Africa Twin? The Africa Twin is bigger, heavier and more powerful – the Transalp lighter, cheaper and easier to live with. Riding mostly solo with little luggage, the Transalp usually serves you better.
Transalp or a naked bike? The Hornet has the same displacement but is unfaired and lower. The Transalp offers wind protection, more suspension travel and a more comfortable position for long stages.
Transalp or an automatic? The Transalp with E-Clutch is the middle road: no clutch lever, but you still choose the gears. A full automatic changes gears for you.
The best way to decide is here in person: our models stand side by side in Volketswil.
The Africa Twin is bigger and more powerful, the Transalp lighter and cheaper. For most touring the Transalp is entirely enough.
A machine for long distances with an upright position, generous suspension travel and off-road ability – without being a pure off-road bike. Exactly the class the Transalp covers.
The Hornet for everyday riding and corners without luggage, the Transalp for wind protection, travel and long stages.
With E-Clutch – no clutch lever, gear selection stays with you. That is not the same as a full automatic.
Yes. Tell us in advance which ones you would like to see and they will be ready when you visit.
That is exactly what we are here for. Tell us how and where you ride – the right machine usually follows from that.
An adventure bike tempts you to take the forest track. That is exactly where technique decides: standing on the pegs, where you look, measured braking on a loose surface. More speed and more lean never come from more courage or more risk, but from better coordination and clean timing. Anyone riding faster than their technique allows will come off sooner or later.
The best place to train that is away from public roads. Off road the surface is uneven and loose and speeds are lower – which widens the time window for every input and lets you work near the limit with far less danger than on tarmac. A light, agile off-road machine forgives far more mistakes than a fully loaded adventure bike. Once the technique is there, you carry it across to your own Transalp.
The matching courses are motorcycle riding safety training at the MX-Academy; the full programme is listed under school and offers.
Participants are split into groups and analysed individually. The school is run by Chris Möckli, a two-time European champion; the MX-Academy is supported by Honda Switzerland and has the Honda off-road models on site. You are welcome to bring your own machine.

The machines available right now, with prices, are in the stock list on this page – straight from our own inventory and always current. Once you have picked one, book a test ride; it is available for a contribution towards costs, credited against a purchase.
We take your current machine in part exchange, including an old Transalp. At handover the bike is registered, checked and, if you wish, already fitted with the accessories you want – top box, taller screen and heated grips go on beforehand.
After that we stay responsible: servicing, parts, tyres, roadworthiness tests and winter storage all happen in our own workshop.
